About Redline Lock & Key
Redline started in 2016 with one van parked in Logan Square and a phone that got answered at 3am. Today nine vans cover every neighborhood from Rogers Park to Beverly, and the phone still gets answered at 3am, by a dispatcher in our Milwaukee Avenue shop, not a call center.
Every tech is a Redline employee with an Illinois locksmith license, a background check, and a photo you receive by text before the van arrives. We quote flat prices on the phone and we open doors without wrecking locks: drilling is the last resort, not the first move.
What Chicago says
Dispatcher stayed on the line while I waited in the cold and the tech called out his ETA twice. Professional from ring one.
Our cafe got hit overnight. Redline had new commercial locks and reinforced plates on both doors before we opened at 7.
Quoted $95 on the phone for a rekey, charged $95 at the door. Six locks, one key, done in an hour.
